3. Insert a cassette tape with the exposed tape facing downwards and the side to be played facing you.

Recording from Built-in Microphone:

1. Load a blank or recordable cassette tape into the compartment.
2. Set the Function Selector to 'TAPE'.
3. Press the 'RECORD' button (usually red). The 'PLAY' button will also engage simultaneously.
